Good News!... or Bad News? Header Pipe repaired under warrenty
I wanted to do a quick update to let it be known that KTM had no issue covering the busted header repair under warranty. A blessing that I won't be out extra money, and a slight disappointment that I lost my excuse for an exhaust upgrade. I did get to take an awesome ride last Sunday, a zig-zag path through the Ozark National forest, also along Elk river and as far east as Clinton Ar. Ride safe everyone!

My Bike DIED!!!
Long time, no updates. I suck. Maybe consistency will form over time? Maybe not? Let's hope for the former.
6000 miles. A milestone. A full service interval.
I decided to take my bike to the dealer for the first full service. Against my nature, I would prefer all maintenance performed on my own, but call this a gift to my bike. A birthday present so to speak.
Three hours and almost a dead phone from wasting time playing games, I get some news. Bad news.
I've got a crack in the stock header pipe! After close inspection, It's busted bad. The dealer pulled me aside to warn me that KTM is bad about not wanting to warranty, well, anything, but today is Saturday, and we will have to wait until Tuesday before they can contact them to see if it will be covered. I was sad. I was very sad.
Dealer tells me that the stock header is just shy of $700!!!! For less than that I'd be happier with a full FMF exhaust, PowerBomb header and a Q4 exhaust.
It's been a long weekend waiting to hear back from KTM. Obviously I'm against spending the money, but the gains from upgrading the exhaust gives that warm and fuzzy feeling inside. I suppose the best course of action is to let the warranty verdict make that decision for me.

So we wait... and so we worry...
